A couple of months ago a participant of Project Runway season 11 asked me to design the hats for her show at New York Fashion Week A/W 2013. She had been given the opportunity to show there, so cool! And even more awesome Eudia would be on the runway during New York Fashion Week. This is what you call an offer you can’t refuse!
She sent me the pictures of her outfits in progress and endless Skype sessions began. Ideas, thoughts, designs and mood boards were exchanged. Perfectly in time she sent me her colour swatches and I ordered felt for the hats. Unfortunately, this was just before Christmas and mail delivery service messed up big time! Just 4 days before the ultimate deadline my materials arrived! 4 days for 5 designs. A tight schedule! Some sleepless nights followed, but the results were more than perfect! With express service the Eudia hats took off to New York, and a couple of weeks later I followed! I didn’t want to miss it for the world: for the first time Eudia on the runway of New York Fashion Week!!!
The show started early in the morning. Because of the television recordings we already had to be there at 6.30am. I had to sign a confidential agreement which stated that I can't reveal anything about the designers, finalists, and results of Project Runway s11. Otherwise, a fine of $ 5 million would follow……When the show is broadcasted in April I can tell who the designer is I cooperated with + some other nice facts!
